Devolens has introduced a new company brand for the business behind Cryptolens, its software licensing platform.

The change separates the company brand from the Cryptolens product name while reflecting the continued development of the platform and the company's focus on software developers.

Cryptolens remains the name of the licensing platform. Existing customers can continue using their accounts, data, integrations, APIs, and licensing setups without changes.

The legal entity behind the business also remains Cryptolens AB.

From Cryptolens to Devolens

The Cryptolens name has been used for more than a decade as the platform has evolved through continued development and customer use.

When the name was established, "crypto" was primarily associated with cryptography and related technologies. Over time, the term became widely associated with cryptocurrencies and gained a much more prominent place in popular and business culture. In many contexts today, "crypto" is understood primarily as a reference to cryptocurrency, refering to a completley different and irrelevant industry that has also become associated with scams, speculation, and other negative perceptions.

We therefore decided that a new company brand would give us a clearer and more distinct identity, while allowing Cryptolens to remain the name of the licensing platform that customers know.

The new Devolens brand reflects our focus on the developers and software companies that use the platform, while the underlying technology and product continue to develop from the same foundation

No Changes for Existing Customers

The rebrand does not require any action from existing Cryptolens customers.

Customer accounts, data, licensing configurations, APIs, SDKs, and integrations remain unchanged. The Cryptolens product continues to operate under its existing product-related domains.

The company website has moved from Cryptolens.io to Devolens.com, with existing website URLs redirecting to their corresponding pages on the new domain.

The rebrand marks a change in the company's public identity, not a change to the service customers depend on.

Devolens is the company brand. Cryptolens is the licensing platform. Cryptolens AB remains the legal entity behind the business.
